After releasing one of the sharpest best-ofs in the genre (last year's Timeless: The Singles Collection), the most consistent act in hip-hop history has earned the right to keep on compiling-they actually missed stuff the first time. The concept is in the title: like any good mix tape, this values flow above all, and the first half, which highlights their music at its bassiest and most blunt(ed), integrates great album cuts like "Oodles of O's" and "Big Brother Beat" with goodies recorded for others, like Prince Paul's "More Than U Know" and DJ Honda's "Trouble in the Water." The remixes fare less evenly: DJ Spinna's flutes and Badmarsh + Shri's jungle beats do not improve "Stakes Is High" or "Me, Myself & I," respectively.
